Rose Street, Sydney
It is not every day you get to work on a project like Rose street. From concept to completion this job just worked. The team at MUD created an inviting relaxing space within a complex site constraint. The level of craftsmanship on display from Tallowood was arguably the best we have seen.
The project works its way from the main entrance of the home, winding past stone walls, across a combination of travertine and limestone stepping pads; past a beautiful coper shower and concrete pool settling into a courtyard retreat with continued stone walls and built in seating.
The designer has worked a delicate balance of materials using the Fyri wall cladding walling throughout the project creates a strong consistent back drop upon which the design unfolds. The use of the Truman Classic in the large format pavers allows for beautiful landing pads through the front garden and entry.
The Terrosa travertine then pops as the pool surrounds and main courtyard, elevated by the recessed timber seating and pops of colour from the careful plant selection.
The stone pool wall and double blade water feature adds major wow factor. The project continues to flow down into a second courtyard with recessed seating and Truman Classic Herringbone tiles.
Moving through the project it becomes apparent that all involved have created a space that moves beyond beautiful design. The team have created a living environment that is beautiful to look at from the outside but comes alive when you step into the space.
Our major takeaways from the project:
